and shouting to the neighborhood 그리고 이웃에게 소리친다 
her goodness and his wrongs. 그녀의 선량함과 그의 잘못에 대해

Wildly he crashes through elephant ears(타로감자), 그는 몇 식물들을 과감하게 뚫고 나아간다. 
pleads in dusty zinnias(백일초), → 장소는 정원임을 알 수 있다. 
while she [in spite of crippling fat] → 뚱뚱한 외모
pursues and corners him. 그녀는 그를 쫓아가고 궁지로 몰아넣는다. 

She strikes and strikes the shrilly circling 그녀는 악을지르며 도망가는 소년을 때린다. → Aliteration: s소리가 반복해서 나오고 있다. 
boy till the stick breaks 그녀가 손에 들고 있는 매가 부러질 때 까지
in her hand.  His tears are rainy weather → Metaphor: 눈물이 비에 비유되었다 . 이는 소년이 경험한 고통을 강조하는 역할을 한다.
