By white night-gowns. → 'white - night' 로 리듬을 살려줌

None are green, → 잠옷으로 가능한 다양한 색상을 나열한다 (: 하얀색과 대조된다.) 

Or purple with green rings,

Or green with yellow rings,

Or yellow with blue rings.

None of them are strange, → 이상하지 않다는 것은 Plain, Simple하다는 것을 의미한다.

With socks of lace

And beaded ceintures.

People are not going → 하얀 잠옷을 입은 그들의 꿈 또한 지루하다는 것을 나타낸다. (: boring life → boring dreams)
